Sentence হলো কতকগুলো Words-এর সমষ্টি যা পূর্ণাঙ্গ অর্থ প্রকাশ করে। অর্থ অনুসারে Sentence কে ভাগে ভাগ করা যায়। যথাঃ 

1. Assertive Sentences I eat rice. 

2. Interrogative Sentence উদাহরণঃ How are you? 

3. Imperative Sentence: উদাহরণঃ Give me a glass of water. 

4. Optative Sentence: উদাহরণঃ May Allah help you in your danger. 

5. Exclamatory Sentence: উদাহরণঃ Hurrah! we have won the match against Pakistan. 

গঠন অনুসারে Sentence কে আবার তিন ভাগে ভাগ করা যায়। যথা:

1. Simple Sentence: উদাহরণঃ He is an honest man. 

2. Complex Sentence: উদাহরণঃ I know a person who is very honest. 

3. Compound Sentence: উদাহরণঃ He is honest but poor.
